Around 92 per cent of the federal SSI spending is represented as Federal Benefit Payments. Currently, the user fee is $14.78 for every SSI Check payment. It is expected that the user fee will increase to $15.22 in FY 2025. For the 2025 fiscal year, the officials are requesting $63 billion for the payments of Federal Benefits. Along with this, the officials are also asking for $22.1 billion for the first quarter of the 2026 fiscal year.

In 2024, the officials increased the FBR from $914 to $1,371 for eligible individuals and from $943 to $1,415 for eligible couples.

Average Monthly Benefit Payments
